Q: We already have an external web site for our school. Can we just link to school pages from our site?
A: Yes. SchoolPages can be used as your internal site. It is password protected and each user will have a separate username and password. You can link to SchoolPages from your external site.
Q: Security is a big concern, as I'm sure it is for you too. If we post photos, can someone in the public find them in a search result? How are you keeping the content from being visible through searches?
A: No one can view the photos unless they have a user name and password. They can not be found in any internet searches as none of our sites are crawlable. We also do not serve any advertisements on the content pages so you can be assured that no one can view the photos without being a part of the community. As well, we do not allow technology to crawl the pages to serve contextual advertising.
Q: If we need the content from the site later, will there be a way to grab a copy easily? Do you have an agreement where we own the content?
A: All the content is yours. In the event that you wish to stop using SchoolPages, we can provide all of your data to you.
